How can I be of service?

Life is beautiful and challenging. Often what appears as difficult in the outside world is directly reflecting imbalances from our inner world. Expressive Art Therapy is a broad term and means that a therapeutic process can access many creative modalities to learn about inner and outer life connection from creating a drawing or visual representation to moving the body or making sounds, anything is possible.

1:1 with me can be divided into 3 categories:

Psychotherapy

Is a process of getting to know yourself. This may include:

  • exploring how outer relationships mirror something from inner world

  • Shadow and projection work and with this work a feeling of becoming whole can be possible

  • finding unique and creative ways to communicate and express your experience

  • discovering personal resources and connecting meaning to aspects of your life

My approach is a humanistic one and involves meeting you and holding space for wherever you are, right then. Theory, tools, methods come second to connection and presence. read more

Sleep Therapy

Sleep has the potential to be a natural form of therapy each time we lay down to rest. Quality sleep is full of potential to bring harmony to life and relationships and give a physical feeling of refreshment and energy.

Sleep therapy includes time honoured practices to support the transition into and out of sleep to bring the highest possible quality to night time sleep. Using states of conscious similar to sleep and dreaming it’s possible to feel peace and receive insights into the roots of daily and nightly tensions. These sleep practices work for pain management and strengthening the immune system as well. Read more

breathwork

Breathwork is an excellent tool for managing our nervous system. It is something we have with us in any given moment, doesn’t require any equipment and is a very small time commitment. A moment of effective breath work can take anywhere from 2-6 minutes and can be an integral part of any day to maintain balance, work with energy levels and manage stress. The Breathwork course is 4 sessions of 30 minutes with plenty of at home material for you to explore. Read more.

Where

Meeting together can be online or in person, in Valby, Denmark.

language

Fluent in English, Italian or Danish. It’s important that it’s a language that’s either your Mother Tongue or the language next closest. Often language is not a part of the process since your experience doesn’t need to be spoken about out loud like other forms of therapy.

about Mary

about Mary

A woman with shoulder-length brown hair, smiling and wearing a beige cardigan, white t-shirt, and earrings, standing against a textured beige wall.

Mary has a BA in Fine Arts and a Masters in Teaching. While teaching Art, the healing potential of the artistic process became ever more evident. The power of the creative process is presence. It’s only in the present moment where we feel joy and heal. The creative process offers a medium to express what can’t be expressed in words. Currently completing her fourth year of Art therapy school to become a registered psychotherapist, Mary is accepting clients as part of her studies and the journey forwards as a therapist. Her approach is a creative and humanistic one with the intention to hold space for you, right where you are. Sessions can be online or in person. No Art experience nor art skills are required, just a willingness to do some invaluable inner work.
